experience
- 2006-: independently developed free software packages for
the R Project for Statistical
Computing
- latticist, an
exploratory visualisation application;
- playwith,
a graphical user interface for interative plots;
- ihacres,
an implementation of the IHACRES rainfall runoff model
(not yet released);
- hydrosanity,
tools for sanity-checking and processing of rainfall and streamflow data.
- contributions to Deepayan Sarkar's
latticeExtra,
utilities for designing Trellis Graphics displays.
- 2003-: worked for Integrated Catchment Assessment and Management Centre
- maintaining and coding IHACRES, a rainfall-runoff model (~25,000 lines of Java).
- developing IHACRES-tambo, a simple interface for exploring the IHACRES model with case studies. This was used in the ANU course MATH3134.
- developing a batch model run and sensitivity tool for ICMS, called Sensus.
- coding a custom interface for CatchMODS, a water quality decision support system.
- developing web-based collaboration support for the STARS network proposal.
- building a website for the Top-Down modelling Working Group of IAHS/PUB.
- implementing an intranet for iCAM, including user-editable pages (a Wiki information system) and a groupware calendar. I also generate a map of the intranet.
- 2003: worked for CSIRO Land & Water
- 2000/2001: worked for the Beaten Track Group doing server-side scripting.
- mid-late 1990s: many minor websites and games under the name Digitalsquid.
